Airline travel has become so hustle and bustle many of us have forgotten the days of old and how it used to be when traveling. 40-50 years ago it was more luxurious to take to the skies. The all new, redesigned TWA Hotel is now open at JFK in Queens and is ready to transport you to another time.
With 505 rooms, you can stay for the day to rest or book an overnight stay. Rates start at $245.00 and for NYC that's not too shabby. The walls are over 4 inches thick to block out the nearby runway sounds. That's the 2nd thickest in the world. Only behind the US Embassy in London. The rooms are decorated in a vintage style reminiscent of the 60's. There are eight restaurants and a 10,000 square feet observation deck so you can get a totally Instagrammable picture of the jets taking off into the sky. The TWA lounge is retro fitted with memorabilia, red carpet, TWA uniforms as a nostalgic reminder of how it felt to travel during those times.
This is definitely on our list of places to see and stay. What about you?
